Staff Therapist

Fig Tree Counseling is looking for psychotherapists to join our group practice. Currently, all clients are seen via telehealth, with the possibility of moving to in-person in July 2021. If hired, you will be able to work with a diverse clientele including queer folks, people of color, immigrants from Latin America, Asia, Africa, and Europe, asylum seekers, and survivors of human and sex-trafficking.

In addition to providing therapy, we conduct psychosocial evaluations which are used to help immigration courts determine whether an individual will be able to remain lawfully in the United States.

Required Qualifications:

Licensed LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, and PhD/PsyD in Illinois, or licensed eligible; Pre-licensed candidates are being considered on a case by case basis.

Training and work experience with POC, queer communities, and other marginalized groups;

Excellent writing skills, including comfort with writing detailed psychosocial assessments that would be used in immigration court;

Knowledge of HIPAA requirements is a plus;

Ability to create notes and treatment plans independently and within a short time frame;

Willing to work some evenings & at least one weekend day;

Ability to maintain 15-20 client caseload weekly, in addition to 1-2 psychosocial assessments;

Working efficiency in one or multiple languages besides English;

Interested in creating multimedia resources to support our community;
